I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
